Arab baths. An enchanted place

Arab baths. Hammam. Medina Califal

The Arab baths were an institution inherent to the Muslim world. They not only attracted bathers, but also reflected our cities' history, architecture, and major and minor political events, and were the scene of significant moments in poetry, medicine and philosophy. Thus the baths became an essential part of Muslim life. As the main meeting point, the hammam was usually located near a mosque or in the middle of the souk (zoco); both places exemplify the importance of social life in Muslim culture.
